About Ernest B. Fenton

Attorney Ernest B. Fenton is the founder and Managing Partner of the Law Office of Ernest B. Fenton (LOEBF). As Managing Partner, Attorney Fenton manages a team of attorneys, paralegals and support staff while overseeing the various practice groups of the firm.

The LOEBF is a rapidly expanding firm which services clients throughout Chicago and the surrounding communities. The primary areas of practice are: Civil Litigation (with a heavy concentration in foreclosure defense and contract litigation); Transactional (focusing on residential and commercial real estate and general corporate transactions); Estate Planning; and Bankruptcy.

About Ernest B. Fenton

Attorney Fenton has personally represented clients in a variety of legal matters including: residential and commercial transactions, due diligence, acquisitions, marketing analysis, leasing proposals, landlord tenant, contract drafting and pre-litigation disputes, business formation, planning, and negotiation. Attorney Ernest B. Fenton is also a fierce litigator.

Education

Attorney Fenton graduated with Honors from Chicago State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management in 1994. He obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Harvard Law in 1997, where he concentrated his studies in the areas of Banking Regulation and Corporate transactions.

Further Professional Experience

Attorney Fenton was an adjunct professor at Chicago State University. During the 2009 Spring Semester, he taught the Legal Environment and Ethics of Business course. During his tenure at the university, he received the Departmental Merit award and was named a Presidential Scholar. He also serves as general counsel to several small businesses in the real estate industry. Further, he has considerable experience setting-up and operating small businesses as an entrepreneur in the retail and real estate industry. He has developed and transacted business in Africa and Mexico extensively.

Attorney Fenton has been a panelist on seminars, television programs, and radio as an authority on foreclosure and mortgage fraud investor schemes. He has published notable newsletters such as:

Mr. Fenton is a United States Army Veteran, Honorably Discharged in 1990. His commitment to the community involves serving on the Constitutional Rights Foundation and volunteer work with Operation Push in the area of foreclosure.


Attorney Fenton is the producer and host of the Social Justice hour and the Gospel Truth Legal show airing on radio stations’ WVON AM 1690 and WSRB FM 106.3.
